We are pleased to confirm the Patient Group is now up and running, and we hope it will play an ever-increasing role in the practice.

Our Mission Statement is;

"The Patient Participation Group at Jessop Medical Practice is a group of patients working with the local community to contribute and provide support to the GP Practice."

Our Aims;

Actively help to improve communication with patients, the practice and wider health community.
Contribute to continuous improvement of services.
Build a relationship between the practice staff and patients.

The Chair of the group is Mrs Mandy Rafferty, and the main contacts in the practice are Dr Victoria Bradley and Mrs Julie Maleham.

Retirement

Our long-serving Practice Nurse Wendy Bacon retired at the end of March 2012, after more than 20 years at Jessop. We will miss her, and would like to wish her well in her retirement.

Name Change

Following her marriage, Dr Esposito has changed her surname, becoming Dr Alva. This is in effect from April 2012.

Patient Group

Our Patient Participation Group continues, and is always looking for more members. Please see the PPG pages on the right hand side for further information. The next meeting is at the Ripley surgery on 15th May at 6.30pm.

Commissioning

Jessop Medical Practice is one of 58 practices that make up the Southern Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group. One of our GPs, Dr Mott, is heavily involved in this work. Further information is available here.
