JMP

EXTENDED HOURS

We will be offering extended appointment times from early September. We will start consulting at 7.30am each morning from both Ripley and Riddings, and will open till 8pm one evening each week alternating between the sites. We hope this will improve access for those patients who work away.

PATIENT GROUP

We are pleased to report that the first patient participation group took place on Monday April 26th at the Ripley surgery. Please contact us if you are interested in attending a future meeting as more involvement would be great. This is to aid communication between the staff and patients of Jessop Medical Practice, as well as getting more patient involvement with the practice.

FLU CLINICS

The Flu clinics will again be held on two Saturday mornings. The dates for these are October 9th and October 30th. We will soon be writing to eligible patients so please wait till these are received before making an appointment.

****SWINE FLU JABS*****

We are still offering swine flu jabs for those at risk, with clinics available according to demand at both sites. Please book in at your convenience.

NEW RIDDINGS PREMISES

We are pleased to confirm that Planning Permission has been given for our redevelopment. Construction has now begun on the Greenhill Lane site, and we anticipate completion around Easter 2011.

GP TRAINING

We welcome Dr Urvi Vyas and Dr Eileen Parrott back to Jessop for 12 months from August 2010. They have both spent time with us before and this year will complete their GP Training. Their Trainers are Dr Blyth and Dr Mott respectively.

We are an accredited Training Practice for doctors training to become GPs. We will usually have two such doctors with us at any one time. Three of the partners are chiefly responsible for their training - Dr Blyth, Dr Tse and Dr Mott.
We are sure that being a Training Practice is good for patients and all our staff, and hope that the GP Trainees find Jessop a good place to work.

Medical students and Nursing students attend the practice from time to time. We hope that you will co-operate with us and help the students to learn about general practice. However, you will be informed of their presence in advance, and if you do not want them to be present at a consultation, your wishes will be respected. This will not affect your treatment in any way.
