Jessop Medical Practice will be merging with Leabrooks Medical Centre on 1/4/14. Dr Terry Jones and all the staff at Leabrooks will join us at Jessop, and their patients will also become registered with Jessop (unless they choose otherwise).
This is an exciting development for us all and will enable us to develop our services to you, as well as giving the practice resilience. For more information please click here for our PPG newsletter, or here for the letter sent out to Leabrooks' patients.
We will do our very best to minimise any disruption to our service that may occur, and no current services currently offered will be lost.
We are delighted to say that Dr Maria Wallis, who has been with us covering Dr Parrott's maternity leave, will be joining us a half-time Partner from 17/3/14. Dr Parrott returns the same week.
We are pleased to confirm that we passed our inspection by the Care Quality Commission in all 5 areas they assessed. The report is available on their website, accessed directly from the widget below the photos of the practice.
SHARING INFORMATION ABOUT YOU
The NHS is planning to start using the data held in general practice about us all, to improve patient care and develop services. You can choose to opt out of sharing your data, if you wish, by letting us know. For more information please see leaflets 2_cd_patient_information_leaflet.pdf
, or come into the practice to discuss.
NHS 111 Service
From 21st August 2012 the new NHS 111 service was introduced in this area. From this date if you need urgent medical attention when the surgery is closed you should dial 111 which will connect you to the service free of charge (from landlines or mobiles).
We have welcomed new GP registrars to the practice in August 2013. Two of them, Dr Chung and Dr Ghafoor, have been with us in the past and return for 12 months to complete their GP Training.
Dr Ashby joined us for 4 months from December (until April 2014) as part of their GP training. Welcome all!
Thank you for completing the survey. Our results, and response to it, is now available on the website under the link on the right hand side of this screen. --->
Our Patient Participation Group continues, and is always looking for more members. Please see the PPG pages on the right hand side for further information.
